My hair wont hold curls without hairspray?
My hair is thin and soft, its about 1ft and 9inches long, i have only dyed my hair 3 times and the last time i had bought a kind is safe and washes out in 6 wks, i love to wear my hair curly but i hate to use hairs spay bcuz of the smell, and i braid my hair at night after i take a shower so i can have curly hair the next day, and i use a hair straightener so my hair gets thicker and i have a curling iron that i use but before i even get done curling my hair it falls flat..so any kind of hair spray i should use? i have also gotten a perm in april 2008 and my hair was the same length as it is now but the perm lasted not even one week, the people said that it would work if i cut my hair shorter so should i cut my hair shorter or how much shorter? to make the curls at least hold?
If u have a straighener go to youtube and type in (How to make curl with Flat Iron) It workd really good with no hair spray.

One trick you can do is to use mousse, about the size of your palm, and blend evenly throughout your hair AFTER you wash it (while its still wet), then blow dry it, BUT don’t use a brush to blow it out with, use your fingers while holding your head upside down. Then, spray some mousse in your hand again and run through hair (top to bottom evenly), but this time not as much so that itll air dry sooner on its own. Then, use hair pins/clips…like big alligator clips…and separate you hair into pig tails. Then on one side of your head separate the layers in your hair (from the bottom layer thats touching your neck up to the top of your head)-do the same for the other side of your head when done curling one side. This will allow for fuller curls all over your head, rather than at the ends of your hair, which could weigh it down and straighten it or give you the "bell" look. Anyway, starting from the bottom layer, do spiral curls and here’s the big secret: after you finish each layer VERY LIGHTLY spritz hairspray on finished layer and clip it out of the way for the next layer above it. After you’ve finished the whole thing…do another light mist with the hairspray over all the curls..and there you have it…curly hair!
